Project Name: A24 Family
Role: ux/ui, product design

Goal: To design a digital space where fans of the independent film studio A24 can not only keep up with new releases but also connect, share, and contribute in a creative, community-driven environment.
The experience is part magazine, part forum, part fan club.

UI Design

Every element was meant to feel cinematic and editorial, like you’re stepping into a curated film archive.

Inspired by A24’s moody, minimalistic branding, I used:
- Black backgrounds with gradient overlays for drama
- Clean sans-serif typography for readability and modernity
- Large modular buttons to allow quick, decisive navigation
- A visual modular grid layout to echo movie posters

Key Features
- Modular Navigation: Large, tactile buttons that feel intuitive
- Profile Customization: A way for members to engage in themed discussions
- Membership Tiers: Silber, Gold, Platinum
- Searchable Archive: Tag-based and keyword-based film exploration

Discovery + ResearchI began by immersing myself in online fan spaces, Reddit threads and Letterboxd reviews. A24 fans are expressive, loyal, and aesthetically aware. They are not just passive consumers, they are active critics, creators and curators.

Meet the persona - Elena, a 27 year old film grad and horror lover. She:
- Loves behind the scenes content
- Joins film discussions after premieres
- Collects merch and posters
- Wants exclusive access to new content

Elena became a guiding voice for all design decisions.

Problem Statement: “A24 has a powerful cult following, but no official fan hub. Fans rely on scattered sources for news, discussions, and events.”How might we create a space that feels exclusive, creative and community-driven, while still being easy to navigate?

UX Strategy:

- Provide exclusive membership content (like behind the scenes footage, actor Q&As)
- Let users create profiles, post thoughts, and join discussions
- Keep the interface bold, cinematic, and atmospheric, in true A24 style
